Take a Day Trip to Mount Cook National Park while staying at Lake Tekapo Luxury Lodge accommodation.  It takes one hour to drive to the Mount Cook Village from our Lodge, and there are a variety of walks available to do, for the casual walker or the more experienced.    It is a lovely easy drive along the shores of Lake Pukaki with fantastic views all the way.
You can take a helicopter flight from here over Mount Cook and the Glaciers. Visit the Salmon Farm on the canal and sample fresh salmon.

There are many local activities in and around Lake Tekapo.

Winter Park Ice Skating - Outdoor Ice Rink
An artificial outdoor ice rink for public skating, ice hockey, curling & cafe. Open May - September.

Skiing
The ski season is from late June until early October.
We have three ski fields easy distance from the lodge, Round Hill, 20 minutes drive and can be seen from our Lodge, Dobson 40 minutes, and Lake Ohau 1hr 30 minutes.
